Photography is my fantasy of the real world. What I document remains untouched, be they visual cliches or not. The result is both true and false to the eye, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
There is never a certain reaction I aim to receive from a photograph, but I will manipulate as much as possible, both with my camera and digital processing, in an attempt to reach a feeling that never existed before. I dissect everything around me through light and color, modifying one variable of perception after another, until what I photograph reveals the exotic. It is in the anomalies of my photographs that something truer comes about, in which the covering up of detail leaves more to the imagination. Nothing is nothing.
There is a secret in everything, and I am able to expose it only through the blurring of what is real and unreal. I will take you only so far in the narrative of my photographs - it is up to you to fill in the blanks.
